Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina has secured a place in the final of the prestigious WTA 500 tournament in China, according to the National Olympic Committee’s press service.
Defeated Italian Opponent in Semifinals
In the semifinals, Rybakina defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in two sets — 6:3, 6:2.
The Kazakh athlete displayed a confident performance, giving her opponent no chance.
“This victory is a testament to Elena’s excellent form this season. She is fully prepared for the final,” stated the Federation’s announcement.
Faces Russian Players in the Final
In the final, Rybakina will play against the winner of the match between Diana Shnaider and Ekaterina Alexandrova.
This marks her sixth final of the season, and with a victory, she aims to claim another WTA 500 title.
