On October 19, several regions across the country will experience a sudden change in weather, with rain and snow, and frost in some areas. This was reported by Kazhydromet meteorologists.
Mixed Rain and Snow Expected
Meteorologists predict that rain and snow will fall in the western, northwestern, eastern, and southeastern regions.
Other parts of the country will remain dry.
“Wind is expected to increase across the republic. Fog in the northern and southeastern mountainous areas will reduce visibility,” the statement said.
Frost in Certain Regions
In the Kyzylorda region, frost down to 1–6 degrees Celsius is expected at night. In the northern part of the Almaty region, frost may reach 1 degree Celsius overnight.
High Fire Risk Areas
Meteorologists indicate that several regions will continue to have a high risk of fire.
Regions expecting high fire risk include: Mangystau, Atyrau (northeast and southeast), Aktobe (south and east), Zhambyl (central), Kyzylorda (north and central), Almaty (west), Kostanay (southwest), Akmola, Ulytau (east and central), and Abai (south).
Additionally, regions such as Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Atyrau, Zhambyl, Aktobe, Almaty, Kostanay, West Kazakhstan, and Ulytau will face an extremely high risk of fire in some areas.
